In our diverse society, preventing cultural misunderstandings is both valuable and essential. However, it often proves to be a challenge in practice to overcome language barriers and effectively address cultural differences.

Due to the busy nature of work, conscious attention to intercultural communication often takes a backseat. This is unfortunate because strong connections lead to better performance and a more enjoyable work environment.

This course focuses on working in the Netherlands, with options within various sectors.

What's in the course?

Themes like getting to know colleagues, interacting with them, understanding the workplace, and the rules that apply in the work environment will be covered.

As the course progresses, the work-related context becomes more relevant. This program consists of classroom lessons with attention to all language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).

ℹ️ Upon request, the focus can shift towards specific skills like speaking or writing.

Learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary, but especially about daring to speak and making mistakes. Marieke ensures that her students feel at ease, both in her presence and within the group. The relaxed atmosphere and good group dynamics make it easier to actively participate and make progress. Her lessons are structured and effective, but at the same time flexible enough to respond to the needs of the group.
